FRIDAY-SATURDAY LIGHT SNOW - ARCTIC BLAST NEXT WEEK

Winter continues to tighten its grip as we move deeper into the heart of the season. Two weak disturbances will cross the region Friday and Saturday, each capable of producing periods of light snow. Accumulations will be modest: 1–2 inches for most locations, with localized 2–4 inches possible across the typical Snowbelt zones where lake enhancement briefly aligns with the passing waves. These totals represent combined snowfall over both days, so impacts should remain limited with snow falling intermittently rather than in one concentrated burst.

Long-Term / Early Next Week
Behind these disturbances, attention quickly shifts to a surge of extremely cold Arctic air poised to settle over the region. Current guidance continues to support actual air temperatures near or below 0°F by Tuesday morning across much of Northern Ohio. This cold will be accompanied by 20–30 mph wind gusts, producing dangerous wind chills between -15°F and -25°F.
This level of cold presents a legitimate high‑impact risk, especially for schools and early‑morning travel. The potential for school closures or delays on Tuesday is real if current trends hold.
More updates will follow as the Arctic air mass approaches and confidence in temperature and wind profiles increases
