Impactful Snowfall Possible Wednesday - Thursday

We’ve been hinting at this for weeks, and now the pattern is finally waking up. The atmosphere is loading up with potential — but as always, the ingredients need to come together just right for a solid snowfall across the region.
Our first of several wintry systems arrives Wednesday afternoon, when temperatures tumble from the 40s to below freezing. That quick drop means a real risk for icy conditions as rain flips to snow in a hurry

After Wednesday afternoon… things get interesting. The models are all over the map, but one thing stands out: accumulating snow is likely for much of the area.
Right now, early thinking puts most spots in the 1–4" range, while areas that tap into lake enhancement could easily see 4–6"+ across the primary and secondary Snowbelt.
There’s still a lot to iron out — but if everything lines up perfectly, a Lake Huron connection could develop. And if that happens… watch out. Some very localized 12" jackpots would be on the table.
Stay tuned for the latest updates as this system is evolving fast!
