🌨️ FORECAST DISCUSSION: COLD FRONT & ARCTIC BLAST COMBO
A cold front will sweep through the region tonight into Wednesday night, bringing a wave of moisture and light to moderate snowfall. Most areas away from Lake Erie will see less than 1 inch, but snowbelt communities near the lake could pick up close to 4 inches, with 2 inches possible just outside the snowbelt. This will be a relatively minor accumulation event — but the snow isn’t the main concern.

TUESDAY: BLOWING SNOW & REDUCED VISIBILITY
The bigger issue Tuesday will be strong winds and powdery snow, both on the ground and falling from the sky.
Wind gusts may reach up to 40 mph at times
Blowing and drifting snow will reduce visibility and quickly cover roadways
Even with light new accumulation, hazardous travel conditions are likely
This is a classic setup where snow amounts aren’t the problem — visibility and road coverage are.

🥶 BRUTAL COLD: WIND CHILLS DOWN TO –28°F
Tuesday’s temperatures will be brutally cold, with highs struggling to escape the single digits.
Wind chills Tuesday morning could plunge to –28°F
Frostbite risk increases dramatically in these conditions
Tuesday will be a day to stay indoors if possible
Between the light snow, strong winds, and Arctic air, Tuesday will be a brutal winter day across Northern Ohio. Bundle up, drive cautiously, and stay tuned for updates.
